Sun protection finder: choose by wearer and activity
The best sun shirt is the one you will actually wear every day: enough coverage, enough airflow and suited to what you do outside. Answer the three questions below for the best group, then read three short sections on fabric, UPF labels and covering the spots a shirt cannot.

Choose by what you do outdoors
Scooter riders need the most coverage: long sleeves with thumb loops, a hood and a long hem over the thighs. Beach days call for a wide-brim hat and a quick-dry shirt. For the office a thin, packable jacket is enough. Runners and cyclists do well with arm sleeves and a fitted, sweat-wicking top.

How to read a UPF label
UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) tells you how well a fabric blocks UV. UPF 50 means roughly 1/50 of UV gets through. The figure has to come from a lab test; aochongnang.com does not test items or invent ratings for sellers. When a listing claims a UPF, look for the test standard or a test report. More in what UPF means.
Cover what the shirt cannot
The face, backs of the hands, the neck and the eyes are easy to forget. A mask that covers the neck, thumb-loop gloves, a wide-brim hat and sunglasses labelled UV-blocking round out the kit. For any skin still exposed, use sunscreen as directed on the pack.
